Accessories

There are a many accessories available from Aprilia, but there is also a few things available from other sources.

Aprilia

Armec

What about a sidecar for your Leonardo. The swiss company Armec makes the Tremolino which can be fitted to several scooters - including the leonardo.

The also make wind deflectors for scooters. You can see it on the picture with the sidecar. The closeup picture is of a majesty, but the look almost the same. Assembling is very easy with 3 screw into original holes and the price is 178CHF (120€) or 230CHF (155€) with shipment to Denmark.

Givi

Givi has only two things specially for the Leonardo, but they have a lot of general accessories. I have a 42L Simply box, that is relabeled by peugeot, and i have installed the brake light kit in it.

Windscreen that replaces the original, but is a bit higher. Approximately as high as the mirrors ( Givi D236S ).
A rack to mount their boxes direcly on, without having to buy the Aprilia luggage rack (Givi SR66). I think it is the one below this Givi Point E33 box and it look slike it replaces the wing that pillions can grab on too

Greenfrog and Hepkobecker

I have now found out that crash bars are available from Greenfrog and Hepkobecker.

The Greenfrog is available from Polo [D] for 176DM (1999). The Leo crash bar is only available in chrome. Polo has also a Greenfrog windscreen for 140DM and luggage box plate for 98DM.

The Hepkobecker is available from Z.M.G. Motorsport [D] for 179,90DM (5/2000)

Once I answered a "for sale" posting from Markus Biewer, and got hold off the following pictures. I don't think that it looks good, so I did not buy it. A crash bar could have saved my leo for some scratches when the storm of 1999.12.03 tipped it, and maybe also when I crashed on 2002.12.16

Other

The british importer VE UK also have some interesting items (but you have to order trough a dealer). Besides windscreens and replacement mirrors the also sell legshield sidewind deflectors at Ł48.75 (78€). The picture is not from a Leonardo but the deflectors should be similar. In contrary to the black ones from Armec these are made of clear plastic.

Rollershop 2000 has a few items for the leo. Online they have two windscreens (109DM), a replacement side stand (39DM) and a chrome crashbar at 159DM. The windscreens are available in two sizes close to the sizes of the original Aprilia ones (Prices from 1/2001).

Scooter Center Köln has among other things some extra long mirrors for the Leo (-98').
